Summer Train Trips
2301 at Crossing: © Matt LangworthyFinger Lakes Railway is a working-class railroad with first-class service, and our summer schedule is full of opportunities to experience this. Even though we are a full-service freight railroad, we find time to entertain people onboard a variety of passenger trains.
***WEEKDAY RIDES***
Starting in July, we will bring back the Ontario County Commuter Run on select Wednesday with departure from Geneva including whistlestops in Phelps, Clifton Springs, and Shortsville. Trips offer a layover in Victor or Canandaigua. Check the listings to see which layover is available on which day.
Groups are welcome and layover times vary from 2 hrs to 4 hrs in the above communities. There are a host of things to do in each village or town, including museum visits, lunches, shopping, nature trails, and more. For example, Phelps, NY is home to the newest Thomas Kinkade Gallery.
Feel free to call us and ask for more info or try "googling" the village or town name and see what comes up.
Ontario County Commuter Runs: July 8, 15, 22, August 12, 19, October 7, 14, 21, and November 11.
