Train Trips for 2011- update

As you may know, Finger Lakes Railway is predominantly a shortline freight railroad which has offered a small schedule of passenger trips in the past that ran May through the Holiday Season. We have enjoyed running these trains for the general public and our many special groups for the last 10 years. However, due to some uncertainities in the passenger market, much needed repairs of our passenger equipment, and an uptick in freight service, we will not be posting a comprehensive 2011 Passenger Schedule.

(C) Dana Jones.Passenger trips may temporarily or occassionally operate on a case-by-case basis in 2011, but there is no guarantee at this time. If a trip is scheduled and is open to the public, it will be posted here, online, under our Excursions tab.

We thank you so much for your continued interest in taking a train ride with us through the Finger Lakes. We sincerely apologize for the disappointment or inconvenience our decisions may have caused in taking this hiatus from a full schedule of passenger trips this year. We hope to be able to offer you a full schedule of trips again in the future. Until then, please visit some of the other wonderful rail station museums and excursion operators in NY by visiting www.nytrains.org. Nearby Pennsylvania, Vermont, and Massachusetts also have train excursions for the general public.
