Blues and Brews - Watkins Glen

Blues n Brews: Live bands cram their bodies into small space, but NEVER cramp their style.The Blues and Brews Express hits Schuyler County for this special Summertime Event. Enjoy an evening ride up the lake, past Big Stream Bridge, with live Blues by the Black Caddy Blues Band. We are boarding later in the evening to give you time to enjoy the weather and dine in the beautiful lakeside village of Watkins Glen.

Cash Bar onboard (provided by Depot 25, Shortsville) with beer and wine only, includes appetizers and lite snacks.

Wednesdays - Ontario County Run

Try our NEWEST service - a COMMUTER-type TRAIN IN ONTARIO COUNTY.

Outbound: Passengers can board at GENEVA or points west (see Whistle Stop Locations below) and travel WEST to Canandaigua, or other Whistle Stops, with RETURN SERVICE later in the day.

Inbound: Passengers can board at CANANDAIGUA, or other Whistle Stops, (same Whistle Stops as outbound train) and travel EAST to Geneva, or other Whislte Stops, with NO RETURN SERVICE.

This trip is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC for the SUMMER / Groups are Welcome. Please note that the Whistle Stops can be destinations (one-way trip) or layovers (round-trip). Please ask us for details regarding these communities.

NOTE: Layover time in Canandaigua is 2 hrs. There is no Return Service when boarding in Canandaigua. Price listed here is Round Trip when boarding in Geneva. Others will be prorated.

Ticket reservations requested, BUT we will do a WHISTLE STOP in each village.
Please be prepared to board at the indicated time. Whistle Stops are when the train briefly stops at different locations to let passengers on or off, then continues to its destination.

Phelps 10:30am - Whistle Stop / Return Service shown Heading East.

Canandaigua 12:00pm - Arrive LAYOVER - 2 HOURS

NASCAR Thunder in the Glen

NOTE: Train times coincide with Thunder in the Glen event which goes from 3pm - 9pm.

Add a train excursion to your list of things to do while visiting for the race, or just do it as a family outing.

Train departs Watkins Glen three times during the day and travels to Big Stream Bridge, then returning to Watkins Glen. There is no layover location during this trip. We will stop on Big Stream Bridge for a fabulous view of the lake from 200ft above a spectacular Finger Lakes gorge.

Thursdays - The Montezuma Run

Enjoy a 1hr ONE-WAY or 2hr ROUND TRIP train excursion from Seneca Falls to lakeside Harris Park in Cayuga. Cross Seneca River and Cayuga Lake. Enjoy presentations on the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge & new Audubon Center along the way. BYO binoculars.

Round Trip or One-Way: Boards 1:15pm in Seneca Falls.

One-Way ONLY: Board in 2:45pm at Harris Park in Cayuga.

Once a month, we are bringing the Blues and Brews to you. New this year, we will board out of Victor, NY, just minutes from Rochester.

Onboard, enjoy live music by "Midnight Groove" and brews (cash bar) from Depot 25 Restaurant in Shortsville. Substantial appetizers included. Sorry, no meals.
